Alila Rose Grace
Alila's early background was as a dancer and movement artist. Alila graduated from Oakland University in 2006 with a BA in psychology. Alila then received her first Yoga RYT 250 in 2008 with Jonny Kest. After teaching yoga and playing in Aspen, CO for a few seasons she gave away her belongings, sold her car, bought a backpack and went on a pilgrimage around the world seeking to find deeper truth and meaning in life.
She was a live-in teacher at a retreat center in the sticky jungles of Costa Rica, trained in Tantra Yoga with the late Psalm Isadora in India + California and lived in an ashram in the high mountains of New Zealand for a year in silence and karma yoga with a shaved head. Alila worked and studied many seasons at Omega Institute learning with Gurumukh, Shiva Rae, Seane Corn and other leaders in the conscious and spiritual community. She also spent many summers as a leader of the moon lodge and girl circles at Omega Teen Camp.
She has studied in depth FAM (Fertility Awareness Method) with Sarah Bly, Womb Wisdom, Ancient Egyptian Priestess Arts, and Mayan Shamanism with Rosita Arvigo. Alila is an Ecstatic Birth Practitioner and most recently completed Kim Anami's Sex Genius Teacher Training program.
Her deepest wisdom has been directly from tuning into sacred spots on the Earth, including her journey's through Australia, New Zealand, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Israel, Egypt, Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica and living on the lush aina of Hawaii.
